2023 Sponsorship Gala

at The Newark Museum

We invite you to show your support and continued commitment to eliminating health disparities and increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our healthcare facilities, hospitals, and partners throughout New Jersey.   

At this year’s Gala we will be:

  1. Awarding monetary scholarships to high school, college, and medical students in a competitive scholarship contest. 

  2. Honoring every graduating underrepresented minority (URM) medical student from each of the New Jersey medical schools and graduating underrepresented minority residents from all postgraduate New Jersey programs.

We Ask You To:

1.

Encourage graduating Class of 2023 URM medical students or residents to participate. 

Please ask them to forward their headshot and contact info to:  njmapresident@gmail.com

A complimentary ticket to the event will be provided to the graduates who forward their information and confirm their intention to participate by April 1st 2023.

Attend our event and support the scholarship winners.

3.

Become a sponsoring partner or pass on to businesses that may consider being a sponsor.

According to the AAMC about 9 % of physicians in the United States identify as underrepresented minorities (Black, African American, Latino, American Indian or Alaskan Native) despite being more than 40% of the general population in the 2020 US census.  New Jersey Medical Association is trying to encourage high school, college and medical school scholars interested in health care thru mentorship and by elevating their ideas about eliminating health disparities.
