Damali Campbell-Oparaji, M.D.

President

Dr. Campbell-Oparaji completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine -Jersey City Program at Jersey City Medical Center. Her practice encompasses the general practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has many interests and but recently is involved in initiatives to: decrease preterm labor rates through implementation of group prenatal care, improve breastfeeding rates, improve gyn care of HIV infected women, improve general care for women with tobacco and substance use disorder. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Addiction Medicine.

James lee jr., M.D.

Vice President

Dr. Lee Jr. had early exposure to patient care having both parents in the medical field, his mother Joan was a nurse and his father is a practicing Orthopedic surgeon. His devotion to the community continues as a proud member of the Alpha Alpha Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity, Inc. as well as being the vice president of the New Jersey chapter of the National Medical Association. Dr. Lee Jr. is Board certified in orthopedic surgery, currently owns a private practice in West Orange, NJ, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Rutgers University.

Juana Hutchinson-colas, M.D., MBA

Corresponding Secretary

Dr. Hutchinson-Colas is an Associate Professor and Chief of the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). She is passionate about mentoring, postgraduate education and pelvic floor health.   Her years of experience in medical education and mentorship, and her commitment providing outstanding medical care to women, also aligns with the goals, mission and vision of the New Jersey Medical Association.

Kathy Ann Duncan, M.D.

Treasurer

Dr. Duncan is a family medicine specialist in Maplewood, NJ and has been practicing for 26 years. She graduated from Umdnj--New Jersey Medical School in 1994 and specializes in family medicine. Dr. Duncan is admired by her patients and other she comes into contact with. Dr. Duncan also takes the time to mentor up and coming students interested in careers in the medical profession.  Dr. Duncan has had a long history of service to the NJMA and currently serves as a board member and treasurer.

Omar Bey, M.D., FCCP

Board of Trustees

Dr. Bey is a Nutritional Support and Critical Care Pulmonary physician, speaker, author, TV host, creator of a physician health ministry and developer of O B Healthy, a website that emphasizes weight loss for better health. Dr. Bey served as President of New Jersey Medical Association for many years. It is one of the oldest professional societies, founded in 1895 for African American physicians and speared the effort to develop a director of African- American Physicians amongst his many initiatives. He is currently a trustee of the NJMA.

Karma Warren, M.D.

Board of Trustees

Dr. Warren is a proud product of both the urban streets of Newark, NJ and the rural roads of Tuskegee University.  She was raised in a home that placed an emphasis on community and always has held important the need to always give back, mentor and uplift.  Dr. Warren made career transition from electrical engineering and enrolled in medical school at Rutgers University - Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. She is working on the front lines as a practicing board certified Emergency Medicine Physician at the Level I Trauma Center, University Hospital, also in Newark. In addition to her many activities she also is a board member for the New Jersey Medical Association.

Cynthia Paige, M.D.

Board of Trustees

Dr. Paige specializes in family medicine. Dr. Paige's expertise includes chronic disease management, treatment for obesity, prevention, and wellness. Dr. Paige has been Founder and Medical Director of the Cypress Health Institute since 2010. She has been a faculty advisor in complementary medicine, a founder and faculty advisor for community electives, and a clerkship director at New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Paige is a past president of the New Jersey Medical Association. She is a member of the National Medical Association, New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, and American Medical Association.

Natalie Roche, M.D.

Board of Trustees

Dr. Roche is an obstetrics & gynecology specialist in Newark, NJ and has been practicing for 36 years. She graduated from Mt Sinai School of Medicine and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology training at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York City. Dr. Roche's practice encompasses all areas of general obstetrics and gynecology with a special interest in GYN care in HIV infection, substance abuse, lower genital tract dysplasia and Dr. Roche is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Addiction Medicine.  Dr. Roche has been an active member of the New Jersey Medical Association for several decades serving in a variety of capacities she is currently on the board of trustees.
